Bank loan and project financing support
Banks decline good businesses for bad paperwork. A weak projection, an unexplained assumption or a missing schedule sends the file to the bottom of the pile. We prepare the case a credit committee can actually approve.
Who this is for
- Businesses applying for a term loan or working capital facility
- Companies whose application has already been declined or delayed
- Owners renewing or renegotiating an existing facility
- Anyone whose projections were prepared by someone who has never seen a credit committee
What it includes
Project report
The business, the market, the use of funds and the repayment case, in the structure banks expect.
Financial projections
Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, linked and driven by stated assumptions rather than a growth percentage.
Debt service coverage
The ratio the bank actually decides on, computed honestly, with the sensitivity that shows when it breaks.
Security and collateral schedule
What is offered, what it is worth, and how it maps to the facility.
Historical financial pack
Audited or finalised accounts presented alongside the projections so the story is continuous.
Query response
When the credit department comes back with questions, the answers come from the file rather than from improvisation.
How it works
- 01
Test whether it is fundable
Before writing anything, whether the business can actually service the debt. If it cannot, better to know now.
- 02
Build the projections
From real drivers — volumes, prices, terms — not from a target and a spreadsheet.
- 03
Prepare the file
Project report, financials and security schedule, assembled as one package.
- 04
Support the process
Queries answered and meetings attended, through to the decision.
Questions people ask
- Will you guarantee the loan is approved?
- No, and be careful of anyone who does. The decision is the bank's. What we control is that the file is complete, the numbers hold, and nothing in it invites a decline.
- Our application was rejected. Can it be revived?
- Often. Rejections are usually about coverage, documentation, or an assumption that did not survive questioning. The first step is establishing which, then deciding whether to re-approach the same bank or another.
- Do you deal with the bank on our behalf?
- We prepare the file, attend meetings and answer technical queries. The relationship and the borrowing decision stay yours.
- How long does preparation take?
- Two to four weeks, depending on the size of the facility and the state of the historical accounts.
